It’s been a while since I’ve felt in the right frame of mind to focus on my blog. I tend to fall in and out of love with writing because it takes up so much brain power and time, when I could be relaxing, reading or watching tv. But I’ve always been a goal driven person and setting myself some little mini goals really helps get me focused. So I’ve decided to go back to basics and put together my April goals for you (but mostly me).
Read 3 books.
If you’ve been keeping an eye on my instagram or if you read my post Why I’m Cheating on Netflix with Books, you’ll know i’m really into my reading recently. I’ve set myself a challenge to read 20 books this year and i’m already on book 11. Yep, i’m zooming through them like nobodies business. So my goal for April is to get that tally from 11 to 14. Sounds difficult in theory but it’s actually pretty do-able for me.
Play more videogames.
As I’m sure some of you know, I work in the games industry. I used to get home and dread the thought of playing a game for ‘fun’, but at the minute i’m really enjoying diving into something new and escaping for a few hours on a weekend. I’d really like to keep doing this, play some new games or game genres I don’t normally play.
Go on a mini-break.
Chris and I are explorers and we really enjoy getting away for walks, road trips or weekends away. I’d really like to find somewhere to go over the easter bank holiday for us, even if it is just for 1 or 2 nights somewhere. I can’t imagine anything more blissful than waking up in the middle of the countryside somewhere with a coffee in one hand, a book in another and lazying around with Chris. We recently went to LongLeat Safari park and stayed in a local AirBnB and it was one of the most fun weekends I’ve had in awhile.
Take more Polaroids.
If you haven’t already clocked that i’m obsessed with Polaroids, then where you have you been?! haha. But I’ve really been enjoying just spending time outside shooting things on my polaroid. I don’t think i’ll ever get bored of watching it develop infront of my eyes and seeing how my skills transfer to a final image. Hopefully if the previous point’s mini-break happens, i’ll have an excuse to crack it out and take cool photos with it. I eventually want to put them all in a huge frame to have in my bedroom, which means a fun IKEA trip sometime…
What are you up to this April?
So those were my april goals, what are yours? Whether that’s wanting to work hard on your blog, your insta content or you have some personal goals you want to achieve this month, let me know in the comments below as i’d love to hear what you’re up to and working hard towards! xox
