I’m getting to that age now where I just know what my style is and what I feel comfortable in which means a shopping trip can either go one way or another. With my new job being on a high street I’ve been spending a more time browsing and I’m managed to pick up 3 high street autumn outfits that I can’t stop wearing.
I’m probably not the only person who is super picky about certain shades in colours and green is one of those colours for me. I swear every year I go through the same routine of checking out all the autumn/winter seasonal stuff in search of the perfect green shade. This year I hit the jackpot with this cute little green jumper from H&M. A good lightweight jumper is such a staple for winter so you can throw it on over a casual outfit and the colour is a great transitional colour. I’ve been wearing it over these simple cage cami’s from ASOS, which I’ve somehow managed to get in black, grey and orange as they’re so easy to wear whilst the caging gives it a nice little twist on the usual vest/strap top.
Something I really wanted to incorporate into my wardrobe this season was more colour. I’m a black skinny jeans and a t-shirt kind of girl and even I get bored of that sometimes. I don’t own any red, not one single piece! So when I spotted this red embroidered dress in a New Look sale I fell in love with it. The embroidery detail is gorgeous, it’s really colourful, cute and really well made. The dress is a little big for me but I don’t mind an over-sized smock dress look, I just pair this with a fluffy black cardigan, tights and some chunky boots and I feel super cute and girly.
If you’ve read my blog for awhile now, you’ll know I’ve fallen in love with wearing shirts over the last couple of years. I’ve always had a thing for collared tops and a nice baggy shirt is so easy to wear and it looks like you’re well put together with minimal effort. I wanted something burgundy coloured for awhile now and this spotty shirt from H&M was the perfect addition to my autumn wardrobe. I throw this on with my black Jamie jeans from TopShop and a pair of black Chelsea boots I picked up on ASOS and I’m good to go.
I hope you liked my current 3 high street autumn outfits that I’ve been wearing non-stop recently. What do you think? What are you current autumn staple pieces?
