You know when you find a perfect product for you and you just have to write about it? That happened to me this week. As I’m sure you all know, I don’t write many reviews on my blog, so for me to get so excited I couldn’t wait to write about a product means a lot. So shall we just get into it?
Ever since I bought a bottle of Rose Jam shower gel from LUSH about 2 years ago, I was obsessed. I’ve never been a huge fan of rose smells before but combining it with sweetness makes something of pure bliss. I fell in love with this instantly and couldn’t get enough. Although sadly for me, I had no idea it was a limited edition scent only released at Christmas…. so I’ve left the last smidgens in the bottom of the bottle so I can have a sniff occasionally and yes, I know I sound like some kind of weirdo.
The only time I’ve manage to get another dose of the sweet rose scent was a bath bomb released at valentines called the Rose Bomb. Which I bought a few of and have still got one hidden somewhere so I can use it on a really special occasion.
I then discovered the Ro’s Argan body conditioner, which is a body moisturizer you use in the shower. This has the same scent but on a less intense scale, I literally bought this product for the scent and I use it occasionally, but it just never quite hits that sweet spot.
So, as you can imagine, I’m always checking the LUSH kitchen or asking in store if they’ll be bringing out a Rose Jam scented perfume any time soon, and of course the answer was no.
When I heard that LUSH were bringing out ‘body sprays’ I immediately had to check to see which scents they’d decided to launch with. It was almost like all my Christmas and birthday’s had come at once. A Rose Jam body spray, it had finally arrived, the product of my dreams. I, of course, immediately purchased it, which is saying something as it was a steep £25 and £4 odd delivery. So I’ve invested a good £30 of my cash in this scent…and I don’t spend money at all. I read through some of the reviews and saw that everyone was super happy with the product and was saying it was really strong, as in, one spray will last allll day. I was hyped.
When it arrived, I have to say I wasn’t really impressed by the packaging, but you know, it’s alright and I appreciate that it’s simple, so I’m willing to overlook that. I couldn’t wait to spray this to see if it’s the true rose jam scent I was hoping for, and let me tell you, you will 1000% not be disappointed.
I sprayed one spray of this into the air in the office I work in, which was a mistake. It smells so strongly that it spread far and wide (thanks to the air-con too) and every single person in the office was asking me what it is or why it smells like a ‘summer meadow’. When I took this home and sprayed it on my skin rather than clothes, the smell still lasted all day, I’m talking 6am through to bed time.
This product has been nothing but impressive. Although it’s pricey, one spray could last you forever, so it totally makes it worth it to me. The expiry date says it last 4 years… so it’s not like it’s going to go out of date anytime soon either. I can’t get enough of this stuff and although it’s strong, it makes me happy that I can still smell it on myself throughout the day, which usually doesn’t really happen with other perfumes.
This is literally my perfect product.
Have you ever had a product that is everything you’ve ever wanted? Because I’d love to hear what it is you love so much! I’d also love to hear your opinions on these new body sprays if you’ve tried them!
