Since getting our new sofa I’ve fallen head over heels in love with my lounge interiors. Although I didn’t need anymore encouragement to find pieces to make it homely, I’m constantly on the look out to find some new additions
So before I delve into the new stuff, why not catch up with My Lounge Staple Pieces so you are caught up with the last purchases I made.
Everything in this photograph is new, I’ll start with the hexagon shelf. I’d seen this around on Scandi Pinterest boards and Instagrams so I searched online for one. So many of them seemed too expensive but I checked eBay and found this bargain for £10 with free P&P! I had intended on painting this white but Nick convinced me to leave it wooden and I quite like it plain, it also gives it a more rustic feel too which is also quite Scandinavian, so win-win.
Then the fabric cacti I fell in love with on a recent wander with my friend Holly. I’d wanted some real cacti for my mantle piece but I’m also terrible at looking after flowers and when I saw these knitted fabric ones I instantly fell in love. They are from Sass & Belle for a bargain price of £3.50 each, how could I possibly resist? After checking the website there are some different types I haven’t seen yet and I want them all!
Then finally the little ceramic Guinea Pigs were a Christmas gift from my dad, he often visits little villages around the UK and he couldn’t resist buying everyone a pair of these. So cute.
After having a little nosey around John Lewis recently I came across some posters that were on sale, I spotted this Beautiful one and snapped it up, I was even happier when I got to the till and it was a mere £5. Bargain.
I always check out Primark for new home ranges, when I saw these the look of them attracted me immediately, I love the cream/white pot with the mirror silver bottoms, very Scandi. It just happened to be an awesome bonus that these were about 3 quid each and smell amazing, I’m so happy I bought two because I’ve almost burnt through the first one already.

Then last but by far least, we come across this knitted duck egg blue basket. I saw this in John Lewis and I immediately went straight for it, it’s pretty much identical to the foot rest I bought from Argos a couple of months ago. Being JP I ummed and ahhhed about buying it but took it to the counter to find out the dreaded price, I honestly thought this would be about £50 and I was already mentally battling with myself about forking out that much for it, but when the lady said £22 I almost threw my money at her. Even the staff members were discussing how much of a bargain it was amongst themselves, so hells-to-the-yes it came home with me and now I look like my lounge is perfectly planned and put-together (almost!).
I’ve already bought one or two things since writing this up so I will eventually do another post when more things are coming together and looking good, but I hope this keeps your interior senses tingling until then.
Let me know what your favourite pieces are or what awesome bargains you’ve spotted that you think I might like in the comments!
